Consultation
Is it right for you?
PMU is not suitable for everyone. Certain skin conditions, medications, treatments and circumstances — including pregnancy and breastfeeding — mean we will not treat, or will ask for clearance from your doctor first.
That is what the consultation is for. It is free, it takes about twenty minutes, and you will leave knowing exactly what is and is not possible.
Contraindications are assessed individually by the practitioner. Nothing on this page replaces that conversation.
Healing
What the next six weeks look like
PMU is judged at the touch-up, not in week one. Knowing that up front saves a lot of worry.
Days 1–3
Darker and sharper than the final result. Some swelling is normal, especially on lips.
Days 4–7
It starts to flake. Do not pick — pigment comes away with the skin if you do.
Weeks 2–4
Colour softens and can look patchy or faded. This is expected; it is not the finished result.
Week 6–8
Touch-up appointment. This is where the shape and colour are finished properly.
